How to Organize LEGO Instruction Manuals

2. Make Sure the Container Isn’t Overstuffed
We upgraded from a smaller file box with plenty of room to grow to a larger file box with plenty of room to grow that still fit in the designated spot in the closet. Suddenly, the boys began maintaining our system again and threw manuals on top of one another less frequently.

We also have a few non-LEGO building sets with manuals, so their building pieces are kept somewhere other than in bins.
Step 4 is labeling all of the LEGO instruction manuals. I started making labels for our LEGO manuals several years ago, but recently upgraded to a label maker. It’s a simple system, but it really helps us keep our manuals organized.
Are Lego instruction books worth anything?
They typically have little value on their own, but they do add to the value of a complete set when sold. If you don’t plan to sell your sets, they’re probably not worth keeping. I keep the instruction booklets because they take up very little space.
