4th & 5th Grade – Intermediate Series
The Life of Fred: Fractions series will assist your child in learning fractions, while the Intermediate series will provide additional arithmetic practice until they are old enough for Fractions. These books cover topics appropriate for grades 4-5 and will prepare your child for Life of Fred.
5th Grade and above
You are ready for Life of Fred: Fractions once you have mastered your addition and multiplication tables. Even if you already know how to divide a pie into the largest “fraction,” this is the place to start because it will go far beyond basic fraction knowledge.

Life of Fred Math is an ungraded program that allows students to work at their own pace. You will have plenty of time to complete the program even if you do not begin Life of Fred Fractions until 7th or 8th grade.
