How the books are made?
Printers print the text of a book on large sheets of paper, sometimes as large as a newspaper page.
Working with large volumes of paper allows printers to lower costs and produce books more efficiently.
The large sheets are then cut into smaller pages that are still about twice the size of a finished book.
Where do books come from?
According to Herodotus (History 5:58), the Phoenicians brought writing and papyrus to Greece around the 10th or 9th century BC. The Greek word for papyrus as writing material (biblion) and book (biblos) come from the Phoenician port town Byblos, through which papyrus was exported to Greece.
